Elite Gate Access Control in Euless: What to Know First

We repair and upgrade Elite gate access control systems throughout Euless, typically within one to three business days of your call. Most Elite keypad, receiver, and loop detector failures are repairable in a single visit, and our pricing is settled before we turn a single bolt. You’ll know the exact cost of the repair before we begin.

Technician installing underground vehicle detection loop for gate access control nationwide

Call (806) 484-1837

This page is for Euless homeowners who own an Elite gate opener and need the access side of it working again: keypads, remotes, phone entry, card readers, video intercoms, and the underground loops that tell the gate when to open and close. If your Elite gate opens when it shouldn’t, or won’t open when you punch in the code, call us at (806) 484-1837. We’ll send a technician who knows Elite equipment, and we’ll be there when we say we will.

How Elite Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

  • Elite SL-3000 keypad membrane wear. The rubberized buttons on the SL-3000’s wired keypad develop hairline cracks after five or six Texas summers. Moisture gets behind the membrane, shorts the contact grid, and the keypad starts ignoring digits or sending phantom entries. We replace the keypad assembly, not the whole board, and we seal the new one against Euless humidity before we button it back up.
  • Elite gate receiver boards losing their rolling code memory. ELITE Q Series receivers occasionally lose stored remote codes after power flickers. The gate still works from the keypad but every remote goes dead. On an Elite, this is usually the EEPROM on the receiver board, not the remotes themselves. We bench-test the receiver, confirm whether it’s the board or the transmitters, and replace only what actually failed.
  • Underground loop detector drift on Elite commercial openers. Elite’s loop detector modules, especially on the E Series and Miracle Series logic boards, drift out of calibration as Euless clay soil expands and contracts through the seasons. The gate thinks a car is always present, so it refuses to close, or it won’t open at all. We re-tune the loop frequency and sensitivity, and where the loop wire itself has finally given up, we saw-cut and replace the loop.
  • Solenoid lock failures on Elite slide gates. Elite slide gate operators often pair with a magnetic or solenoid lock that’s wired through the control board’s AUX output. When the lock’s coil overheats, the control board sees the current draw and throws a fault, even though the operator itself is fine. This one fools a lot of generalist techs into replacing a motor or board that doesn’t need it. We test the lock circuit first.
  • Relay chatter on Elite MI/R series photo eye circuits. In Euless, we regularly see Elite MI/R series openers where the photo eye relay chatters due to corrosion at the terminal block near the bottom of the board. It presents as an intermittent “obstruction” fault that comes and goes with the humidity. We clean and reseat the terminals, apply dielectric grease, and only replace the board when the relay itself has burned out.

Our Elite Gate Access Control Process

Here’s how a typical Elite access control repair goes at an Euless home:

  1. 1
Call and describe the symptom. A live person answers, day or night. We’ll ask a few plain questions: Does the keypad beep? Do the remotes work? Does the gate move at all? That gives us a head start on which Elite component we’re likely dealing with.
  2. 2
On-site diagnosis. The technician checks the power supply, the control board, the keypad or receiver, and the safety loop. On Elite equipment, we test the loop detector with a meter before we touch anything else. A bad loop can mimic a bad board, and we don’t replace boards a gate doesn’t need.
  3. 3
Parts decision, explained in plain language. Where Elite OEM parts are available within a reasonable window, we use them. Where an Elite part is weeks out with no firm date, we’ll offer a quality aftermarket equivalent and tell you exactly what the trade-off is. You decide before any money changes hands.
  4. 4
The repair, with your price already agreed. We settled the number before work started. No bolt turns until the price is written down and you’ve said yes. Most Elite access control repairs are finished in one visit.
  5. 5
Full system test. We test the keypad in every mode, run the remotes through their range, trigger the safety loop from both directions, and cycle the gate a dozen times. Then we watch it with you.
  6. 6
The 90-Day Done Right Promise. Every Elite repair we complete is covered by a written guarantee. If something isn’t right within 90 days, we come back and make it right. No paperwork, no arguing, no exceptions.

What Elite Gate Access Control Costs in Euless

Honest numbers, based on the Elite jobs we’ve done in Euless:

  • Keypad replacement or repair: $180-$320, depending on whether we’re replacing the keypad assembly or the full unit
  • Receiver board repair or replacement: $220-$410
  • Loop detector repair or replacement: $240-$450, more if the loop wire itself needs to be saw-cut and replaced
  • Adding a video intercom to an existing Elite opener: $850-$1,600 installed
  • Full access control upgrade (keypad, receiver, phone entry): $1,200-$2,800 depending on the Elite model and what’s already on the gate

What moves the price: whether the Elite part is available locally or has to be ordered, how old the opener is, and whether the underground loop is still sound. We quote the price before we start, and the quote doesn’t move. Call (806) 484-1837 for a free estimate on your specific Elite system.

Why Euless Homeowners Call Ironworks Gate Co. for Elite Work

We’ve been serving Euless and the Mid-Cities for over 42 years, since 1984. That matters when you’re dealing with an Elite opener because these aren’t disposable machines. A well-maintained Elite gate operator can run for fifteen or twenty years, and the access control components around it usually fail before the motor ever does. Our technicians know Elite logic boards, Elite receiver quirks, and Elite’s wiring conventions. We don’t guess. We test.

We’re an independent Elite service provider, which means we’re not bound to selling you anything from a factory playbook. If an Elite OEM part is the right call, we use it. When a quality aftermarket part will do the job for half the money and won’t void your warranty, we tell you that too. And because we’re certified across nine gate-automation brands, including LiftMaster, Mighty Mule, Ghost Controls, and DoorKing, we can convert an older Elite opener to a newer access control package when that’s the smarter move.

Every job is protected by the 90-Day Done Right Promise. That’s the Keystone Standard we’ve applied to every gate job since day one. Written guarantee, no hassle, no arguing.
